Growing up in Denver, my best friend and I spent so much time together, that to this day, when I see a photo of her from middle school, my first instinct is that it's a photo of me becuase I saw her face so much more than my own. Alas, we grew up; I settled in Seattle, and she settled in Miami. Four sleep overs a week, has become a trip to Carnival or the San Juans or Pagosa Springs every other year, if we're lucky.  So, these are the goddesses of day and night, sisters from the same place, struggling to remain close while now only meeting twice a day, to touch only the edges of one another's realms and lives.
