"Movin' Out" is one of thirty paintings that I created in June of 2013, for Avanti Gallery's 30/30 Challenge show.  One of my favorite things about this challenge was the box full of 4 x 4 x 1” canvases. Each looked like a little gift, waiting to be unwrapped and discovered. I’ve never painted on this dimension before, and having just as much surface area on the edges of the canvas as on the face of the canvas to play with was a revelation!  I just fell in love with the edges of these canvases!
