As I was painting Celestial Separation, it
transformed from the image of a sad figure moving away from a joyful
source of life, into a woman composed of the same matter from which she
was separating. Each of us travel away from the wombs that carried us
into our lives, away from the Big Bang that exploded our very energy and
matter into being, and yet, we still carry our first ancestors within
our DNA, and the first stars within our bones.
